The Network for a Sustainable Tomorrow is a community-based network of programs working towards social, environmental, and economic justice and equity in the Southern Tier region of NY state.
Formerly known as the Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition, I was responsible for creating their new logo and consolidating several existing project websites into one modern and cohesive website.
Tooele County is located to the west of Salt Lake City, Utah. As part of my responsibilities as Web Developer at Penna Powers, I built a new Elementor site which serves as a directory of dining, lodging, events, and things to do around the county.
The site makes use of several custom post types and advanced custom fields to help store data in an organized fashion.
Fun Fact: I completed my open water SCUBA certification (SSI) at Bonneville Seabase, which is one of the locations included on the site.
The Utah System of Higher Education hired Penna Powers to rebuild their legacy WordPress website. My responsibility was to create the front end pages from Illustrator files and devise a new system for storing news, board meetings, and other content. I also had to figure out the best way to migrate hundreds of old blog posts and legacy content into their new site.
After launch, the client has been performing all site content updates in-house, which to me is a sign that we have created a successful CMS-based site.
Safe Routes is a program of the Utah Department of Transportation. I built this site using Elementor but it also features some interactive quiz elements which were created using Pixi.JS as an animation / interactivity platform. I learned a lot about sprite sheet animation and developed some new skills as a result.
The Utah Department of Transportation is currently implementing the NEPA process for SR-210 in Utah, in order to find solutions to traffic congestion issues. SR-210 is the only route available for skiers and snowboarders to access the popular ski resorts Alta and Snowbird. On high-demand powder days, the traffic can back up significantly.
I built this site using Elementor and have been the sole maintainer over the course of the EIS process, which begin in Spring 2018.
Truck Smart is a program of the Utah Department of Transportation and it is designed to educate drivers on how to safely operate their vehicle around tractor trailers.
I built the site using WordPress / Elementor and it also has an LMS component which was created with the LearnDash plugin.
The Utah Department of Public Safety / Highway Safety Office hired Penna Powers to create this fun animated site, which I built using WordPress & Elementor.
This site makes also use of the Lottie animation format. Using After Effects and existing vector illustrations, I created short looping Lottie animations that bring help the site to life and make it fun to learn more about safe “eScooting”.
